TV Remote Control app now available for Android and Samsung ‘bada’ smartphones

How many times have you cursed when the TV remote control has gone walkabouts?! Well here’s another handy convenience to come out of owning a smartphone – now you can control your TV with it, using the new remote control app.

This app is available to download* from the Android Market™ and the Samsung App store for free, and uses the infra-red emitter built into your phone to send a control signal to your Samsung TV. You can change channels, control the volume, mute and change the source as well as access the advanced features of a Samsung Smart TV. There’s even a touch screen QWERTY keyboard for inputting search text, website addresses and more.

The remote control app can be used on smartphone devices such as the Samsung GALAXY S, tablet devices like the Samsung GALAXY Tab and bada smartphones like the Samsung WAVE.

To find the new remote control app, use search terms such as ‘Samsung TV remote’, ‘Samsung TV remote Tab’ or ‘TV remote’.
